Lee Hamilton is an admired elementary school custodian. He works at Puster elementary school, located in Collin County, and is reported to be a diligent worker, as well as a good influence on the students. Lee also takes care of his wife who has multiple sclerosis.

Hamilton is at risk of being wheelchair bound if he does not have back surgery. To help Mr. Lee avoid having to use a wheelchair, both students and teachers in the school district have raised money to pay for his surgery. The community created a GoFundMe page to raise money for Mr. Lee’s medical bills and living expenses. So far, they have surpassed their goal of $17,000, and have raised an incredible $23,350!

Mr. Lee is very appreciative for this act of kindness; “It’s overwhelming. I didn’t know I touched so many people,” he said. Mr. Lee is scheduled to have his first surgery on March 20, 2019.

We wish Mr. Lee a successful and speedy recovery and congratulate the community for their great efforts to to help Mr. Lee. A job well done!
