A Hero’s Journey: In the Care of Inspiring Volunteers

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

U.S. Army Sgt. Jordan Adams heard the call to serve his country and did so with great pride and bravery. Unfortunately, he then suffered a terrible accident that left him in a coma and fighting for his life. Through the miracles of modern medicine, a revolutionary new treatment provided hope for Jordan and his family. It would be covered by his insurance and held promise for a new lease on life.

The trouble was that it was only available in Chicago, and the air ambulance transportation needed to get him there was not covered, nor was it within the means of his family to provide. Fortunately for Jordan VitalOne, an air ambulance service that operates on a philosophy of kindness and compassion, was there to step in.

VitalOne provides air ambulance services to those in need, and uses their medical expertise and resources to do good in the world. According to paramedic supervisor Fishel Litzman, “We are delighted and ecstatic to be part of this. We all signed on voluntarily. We want to give back. We’re about doing the right thing, for the right reasons, and this is a tremendous honor to us personally.”

From the service of Sgt Adams for his country, to the service of VitalOne personnel, this touching story shows us that care knows no bounds. Willing to literally take to the skies for their fellow man, we applaud the work of the VitalOne team and encourage families to view this video together and share about it.
